Peyman Shaafi

Peyman Shaafi's practice is rooted in geometry, spatial perception and the relationship between light, colour and architectural form.

His early work grew out of Persian calligraphy and Nastaleeq script before developing into a more abstract language of geometry. He constructs and stretches three-dimensional modular canvases by hand, so the relief catches the light differently as you move past it.
